Indian state of Maharashtra imposes strict new curbs amid Covid-19 surge
The Indian state of Maharashtra, home to the financial capital Mumbai, has announced strict new Covid-19 curbs, amid a surge in the number of infections.
This comes as India's health ministry on Sunday reported a daily increase of more than 93,000 fresh Covid-19 cases. This wasn't far off the country's all-time high seen in September.

Biden "heartbroken" by Capitol attack that claims life of police officer
President Biden has ordered the flag at the White House to be lowered after today's incident on Capitol Hill that took the life of one police officer and left another in critical condition.
A 25 year-old suspect was shot dead by police after driving his car into a security barrier at the Capitol Building, and then lunging at officers with a knife.
Police say they do NOT believe it was an act of terrorism.
