Minneapolis' police chief has testified that Derek Chauvin, the ex-officer accused of killing unarmed black man George Floyd, violated the department's policy on use of force.
A video of Mr Chauvin, who is white, kneeling on the neck of Mr Floyd for more than nine minutes sparked global protests against racism.
