UK REGULATORS CONSIDER AZ CLOT CONCERNS

UK regulators are considering whether to recommend the Oxford-AstraZeneca covid-19 vaccine only be used for older people.

It comes after some countries restricted its use for younger age groups over concerns about rare blood clotting incidents.

The blood clots are rare and it has not been established whether they are caused by the vaccine.

UK Vaccines Minister Nadhim Zahawi says the MHRA regulator's recommendations will be followed.
