Scotland to enter full lockdown

Scotland will enter a full lockdown from Tuesday.


Scottish First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, announced the stricter measures after a surge in positive coronavirus cases brought about by the spread of the new strain.

Wikileaks spokesman says Assange ruling is 'a win'

A UK judge has ruled the founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, will not face extradition to the US.


The decision was made due to concerns over Mr Assange's mental health and fears he may take his own life if extradited.


Speaking outside the Old Bailey in London, Kristinn Hrafnsson, a spokesperson from Wikileaks, described the moment as 'a win'.

First day of term in England -- but not all school students back in the classroom

World's first Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine administered in UK

The UK has begun the roll out of its first set of vaccinations produced by Oxford University and AstraZeneca.


It's the first time the vaccine has been approved for use worldwide and is the second vaccination to be approved in the UK.


Despite the introduction of the new vaccine the virus continues to spread at an alarming rate with over 50,000 people in the UK testing positive in the last 24 hours.

Russia's Deputy Prime Minister, Alexander Novak, is calling US sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 pipeline "protectionism".

OXFORD JAB BEGINS ROLL-OUT IN UK
