The UK government is beginning a campaign to convince the British public of the safety of a Pfizer covid-19 vaccine which has been approved for use from next week.

Regulators approved the Pfizer-biontech jab on Wednesday.

Vulnerable people and healthcare workers will start being vaccinated next week.

Education Secretary Gavin Williamson says the jab passes the so-called 'mum test' for him - that he'd be keen for his own mother to take it.

Hong Kong dismisses criticism over jailing of activists

UN to get access to Ethiopia’s’ Northern region

The United Nations says it will now be able to secure humanitarian access to Ethiopia's Northern Tigray region where there's been fighting between government and regional forces since 4^th November.

Ethiopia TPLF member surrenders

Hong Kong activist Joshua Wong jailed over 2019 protest
