MARADONA DEAD AT 60

Maradona - one of the world's greatest ever footballers - has died at the age of 60.

He won the World Cup for Argentina in 1986 - after knocking England out of the tournament in the quarter finals.

More fighting expected in Ethiopia

US covid cases surge as millions travel for Thanksgiving holiday

The United States has recorded nearly 2100 coronavirus deaths - the highest single day total since May according to the Covid Tracking Project.

UN unemployment up amid increasing coronavirus cases

Hong Kong's Chief Executive aims to restore confidence in the city

Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam says her main priority is to restore confidence in the city, after a year of social unrest and the COVID-19 pandemic.

In her annual policy address, the Chief Executive said the national security law had brought stability to Hong Kong, and criticised foreign governments for what she called their increased interference in local affairs.

Dow tops 30,000 as stocks soar on more US election certainty, vaccine news

US markets soared Tuesday, with the Dow Jones topping 30 thousand points for the first time and closing the day at that record high.


Markets waged their bets on receding US election uncertainty, and cheered promising news on three Covid-19 vaccines that could soon be available.

French president unveils country's path out of its Covid-19 lockdown

The French president says the peak of the second wave of Covid-19 infections has passed, as the numbers of new cases and number of patients being treated in hospital continues to fall.


Emmanuel Macron said that non-essential shops will be able to re-open from November 28 and the national coronavirus lockdown will end on December 15.

Millions of Americans travel for Thanksgiving despite coronavirus surge
