UK CHANCELLOR TO SET OUT SPENDING REVIEW

UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak's promising to make jobs his "number one priority" as he sets out his first Spending Review later.

He'll announce the launch of a £4bn three-year programme to help more than a million people get back into work.

He'll also reveal forecasts which suggest a 10% shrinking in the UK's economy this year, and a looming spike in unemployment.

Director at the Institute for Fiscal Studies - Paul Johnson - says what's being billed as a 'New Deal-style plan' to return people to employment is difficult to pull off.
