Japan, Australia reach agreement on defence pact

Japan and Australia have reached a broad agreement on their historic bilateral defence pact. The Reciprocal Access Agreement has been years in the making - and will allow troops to visit each other's countries to conduct training or joint operations. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has hailed the agreement as a "pivotal moment in the history of Japan-Australia ties." Grace Lee reports from Tokyo.

Hong Kong former lawmakers arrested over anthem bill protest

Hong Kong police have arrested three former pro-democracy lawmakers, for trying to disrupt the passage of a bill to criminalise abuse of the Chinese national anthem. The former lawmakers brought rotten plants and fertiliser into the city's legislative chamber during debates in May and June.

Trump fires top government official who maintained US election was secure

Donald Trump has fired the Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency who maintained the US election was secure, disputing the US President's claims of voter fraud.

New green policies being announced in UK

Nearly 100,000 claim sexual abuse compensation from Boy Scouts of America

World's Lone White Giraffe Fitted with GPS Tracking Device

Until March it was one of three white Giraffes in the Ishaqbini Hirola Community conservancy in Kenya

Nigeria’s former president Olusegun Obasanjo heads to Ethiopia for peace talks



Nigeria's former President Olusegun Obasanjo has travelled to Ethiopia to help mediate in the conflict between the government and a faction from the northern Tigray region.
