Nigeria’s former president Olusegun Obasanjo heads to Ethiopia for peace talks

Nigeria's former President Olusegun Obasanjo has travelled to Ethiopia to help mediate in the conflict between the government and a faction from the northern Tigray region.

Ethiopia's government embarked on a military operation in the region on November 4 as a result of a long-running dispute with the region's ruling party, the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF).
