Stimulus talks set to dominate Wall Street sentiment in week ahead [preview]

Wall Street will be eagerly watching this weeks for signs that U.S.
lawmakers can find enough common ground to pass another coronavirus
spending package.

Last week House Democrats passed a proposal worth $2.2 trillion last
week and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi expressed optimism that a deal
would be made.

More positive Covid-19 tests reported at White House and scene of Presidential debate

At least three more cases of Covid-19 have been reported at the White House - two of them reporters who cover the Trump Presidency, the third a member of White House staff.


President Trump is said to be experiencing only mild symptoms of the virus, but all his campaign appearances are being suspended for the time being.

Harvey Weinstein Charged with Six New Counts of Sexual Assault

Breonna Taylor Grand Jury Audio Made Public

The Kentucky attorney general has filed an audio recording in court of the grand jury inquiry into the killing of Breonna Taylor. 

That makes public the evidence the jurors considered in the proceedings before they came to the controversial decision not to indict the officers who shot her.

Hiring slows in last jobs report before U.S. elections

The final jobs report released before the U.S. presidential elections

Hope for ceasefire emerges as fighting on Azeri-Armenian border continues

Uganda Stops Repeat Tests For COVID-19 Patients

As Uganda struggles with surging COVID-19 cases, the health Ministry says it's stopped repeat tests for recovering patients.

Repeat tests are normally done to check whether the virus has completely been eliminated from the body.

The country has run out of hospital beds for COVID-19 patients and is trying to free space for the increasing cases.

India crosses 6.39 million COVID 19 cases

COVID-19 cases in India continue to rise at a fast pace as the country moves into the fifth phase of reopening the economy.
