The Mayor of Portland, Oregon was tear-gassed by federal agents during the latest night of protests in his city.

On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump announced a surge of federal officers to two other Democrat-led cities: Chicago and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Jobless claims rise for first time in 15 weeks

More Americans than expected filed for unemployment benefits last week
as a surge in Covid-19 cases hampers the country's economic recovery.

The 1.4 million initial jobless claims registered last week now marks

Russian draft law would give long jail sentence for calls to return territory

California Overtakes New York for Most Coronavirus Cases

US/UK agree to amend immunity agreement which allowed US woman to leave UK after fatal crash

The United States and Britain have agreed to amend immunity agreements that allowed the wife of a US official to leave the UK after being involved in a fatal road traffic collision.

British teenager Harry Dunn was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a car being driven by Anne Sacoolas.

The changes will not be retrospective but the British foreign secretary said it would mean that something similar cannot happen again.
