U.S. to pay drug makers $2 billion for 100 Covid-19 vaccine doses

The United States has agreed to pay drug makers Pfizer and BioNTech
close to two billion dollars for 100 million doses of a coronavirus
vaccine.

The companies plan to launch phase three of their drug trial this
month in a bid to create working vaccines by the end of the year.
