Tanzania records two more Covid-19 recoveries as infection slows

In a media briefing, she said that two more patients for Covid-19 have tested negative in all three tests taken. One is in Dar es Salaam and the other in Arusha. The country's total recoveries now stand at five.

France enters recession says country's central bank

The Bank of France says that the country is now in recession after GDP growth sunk to -6% in the first three months of 2020.


It comes as France suffers its worst one-day rise in the number of deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic.

UK PM 'STABLE' IN INTENSIVE CARE

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has spent a second night in intensive care with coronavirus.

Downing Street says 'close monitoring' of his condition is taking place at St Thomas's hospital in London.

He was hospitalised on Sunday and moved to intensive care on Monday as his condition worsened.

Boris Johnson is engaged to Carrie Symonds who is expecting their child.

Health Minister Edward Argar says the Prime Minister hasn't yet required a ventilator.

Tech firm suggests fewer people observing Moscow's lockdown

New York sees highest single-day rise in Covid-19 deaths

New York has suffered its highest one day total of Covid-19 fatalities.

731 deaths were reported over a 24 hour period but officials say the
rate of hospitalizations may be slowing.

Rwanda Honors Those Killed in Genocide 25 Years Ago

Rwandans have begun a weeklong celebration to honor those killed during the 1994 gencocide against the Tutsi minority.

About a million Rwandans, most of them from the country's Tutsi minority tribe and moderate Hutus were killed during the 1994 genocide.

The killings started after former President Juvenal Habyarimana and his counterpart Cyprien Ntaryamira of Burundi, both Hutus were killed when their plane was shot down.

Increase in demand for Hydroxychloroquine, India will export after meeting domestic requirements

Hopes for Spain as death toll falls for fourth consecutive day

There are hopes the worst may be over in Spain, where the rate of new infection is said to be falling in every region of the country and the death toll has fallen for the fourth consecutive day.

In Italy and France, there was in increase in the death rate- but signs that the rate of new infection is slowing. 

Lockdowns have been extended until past the Easter weekend, and are predicted to stay in place for several weeks.
