Trump warns Americans to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people, end discretionary travel

President Trump is warning Americans to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people, to avoid bars and restaurants and to abandon any plans for non-essential travel.


He told reporters at the White House that it's time for all Americans to play their part in a bid to halt the spread of the coronavirus.

Major losses on Wall Street despite Fed rate cut

TANZANIA REPORTS FIRST CORONA CASE

The health minister Ummy Mwalimu said the patient had left Tanzania on the 3rd of March. 

She visited Sweden and Denmark before going back to Belgium. 

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha, she was scanned but her body temperature was normal and that the scanner did not detect any sign of the deadly virus.

EU proposes travel ban into Schengen zone to contain coronavirus

The EU has proposed a ban on all non-essential travel into Europe for 30 days to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Under the plan, visitors from non-EU states would not be able to enter the bloc with the exception of EU citizens and their families, cross-border commuters, or healthcare professionals.  

The UK, which left the EU in January, will also be exempt.

Russian court approves constitutional changes

UK ACCUSED OF KILLING CIVILIANS IN SYRIA/IRAQ BY US MILITARY

The UK's Royal Air Force may have killed civilians during airstrikes against Islamic State.


According to the US military there is "credible" evidence.


But the UK Ministry of Defence denies the reports, saying after examining all evidence available it's "seen nothing that indicates civilian casualties were caused".

UK government to brief media daily, as airlines slash flights and stock exchange slumps

The British government is to hold daily televised press conferences to update the public on the fight against coronavirus. 

 

From Monday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson or a senior minister will address the media to ensure people are informed about how to protect themselves.

 

It follows criticism for an apparent lack of transparency over plans to stem the spread of the virus.

EU restricts export of vital medical equipment amid shortages, as coronavirus cases mount

The EU will be presenting guidelines on border measures to European leaders, as Germany partially closes its borders to limit the coronavirus outbreak. 

Spain has declared a state of emergency, and France has closed cafes and restaurants.

Ugandan National Among Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Rwanda

US Presidential hopeful Joe Biden says he will pick a woman as his
