Super Tuesday voting underway in US

Super Tuesday is underway in the US... 14 states and American Samoa are voting on which Democratic candidate will challenge Donald Trump for the presidency.

DR Congo's Last Ebola Patient Discharged

UK government unveils coronavirus 'action plan'


The British Army could be deployed to provide support to emergency services as part of the UK government's 'action plan' to tackle the coronavirus crisis. 

Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned in a statement on Tuesday that it's "highly likely" that there'll be a "significant expansion" in UK cases, as the total number rose to more than 50.

But he also reassured the public that coronavirus is "just a mild disease" from which most people will recover, and that everybody should continue to go about their business as usual.

Coronavirus continues to spread in France

France now has 191 confirmed cases of coronavirus, raising the total from 130 a day earlier.

UK SETS OUT CORONAVIRUS CONTINGENCY PLANS

The UK government is setting out its plan to tackle a possible wide-scale coronavirus outbreak.

Measures include urging people to work from home and restrict their travel, if the virus spreads further.

Retired doctors and nurses could also be drafted in to help deal with patients, as part of the contingency plans.

39 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the UK but health officials are warning it's highly likely it will spread.
