South Africans again subjected to Load Shedding

South Africa’s energy supplier, Eskom, has again been forced to implement nationwide scheduled power outages. Dubbed “load shedding”, citizens across the country will face several hours a day without electricity, until adequate power supply has been restored.

Uganda Rolls Out a Mass Measles Campaign

Footballers in Germany warned against 'inappropriate' salute

Violent Protests Rock Catalonia for Second Straight Day

Thousands of people protested in the Catalonia region of Spain for a second straight day following the sentencing of nine leaders of the local separatist movement.


The charges stem from the independence referendum in 2017 and local leaders are continuing to push for their own state.

France rejects Western Balkan efforts to join the EU

France has rejected efforts from Western Balkan states to join the
European Union describing the process as an endless soap opera.

CARRIE LAM ADDRESS SUSPENDED

Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam has had to deliver her annual address by videolink after being heckled in parliament.

It was the first time Hong Kong's Legislative Council has met since being stormed by protesters in July.

The suspension of Ms Lam's address in parliament meant the extradition bill which provoked months of demonstrations could not be formally withdrawn.

Parents of dead British teenager meet President Trump but refuse to meet US diplomat's wife suspected of killing their son until she returns to UK to face justice

The parents of british teenager Harry Dunn have met US President Donald Trump - but refused his request to meet the American diplomat's wife who was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road when their son died in a car crash. 

Anne Sacoolas was waiting in the next room during their meeting. 

But they told the US President that they would only meet her if she agreed to return to Britain to face justice.

Russia says Syrian government reaches agreement with Kurds

Russia's special presidential representative on Syria says the Syrian government has reached an agreement with Kurdish people over access to the north-east of the country.

The envoy said only Syrian troops should be present near the border with Turkey, as Turkish troops continue their operation inside Syria.
