TRUMP HAILS PROGRESS WITH UK TOWARDS TRADE DEAL

US President Donald Trump says rapid progress is being made towards a post-Brexit trade deal with the UK.

President Trump says a deal could take effect the day after Brexit which covers all sectors and initially lasts around six months.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been in regular contact with President Trump as he works to secure Brexit for October 31st.

Mr Johnson faces opposition from many lawmakers who believe a 'no deal' Brexit will damage the UK economy.

UNSC to take up Kashmir issue

The United Nations Security Council is slated to hold a rare meeting on Kashmir two weeks after India stripped the region of its autonomy. 

The meeting is being held at China's behest- an all weather ally of Pakistan.

Israel bans two Democratic Congresswomen from visit

Israel has banned US Democratic congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib from visiting the country.

The move came after encouragement from President Trump, who tweeted  Thursday that Israel would "show great weakness" if the congresswomen, who he's accused of hating Jews, were allowed into the country.

France pays tribute to African WW2 soldiers

French President Emmanuel Macron has paid tribute to African soldiers who took part in the Allied invasion of Southern France 75 years ago. 

The huge deployment of troops from France's former colonies is known as "the other D-Day" and played a critical role in liberating the country.

China's Huawei Spy Claims

Chinese Tech Giant Huawei and Israeli firms have been accused of helping African governments spy on their political opponents.

 

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Huawei is helping the Ugandan government to hack mobile phones and to listen in on conversations of opposition leaders.

New study shows high levels of microplastic pollution
