South Korean TV networks covered the trains departure as it rolled toward the border.

In a meeting with South Korea's president this year, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un admitted his railways and roads are in 'embarrassing' shape.

The leaders hope an upgrade in the future will improve inter-Korean travel and trade.

But for now the South Koreans inspecting the North's railroads are only allowed to look.

Improvements can't be made due to international sanctions against North Korea's nuclear weapons program.

May defends her Brexit deal in grilling from MPs

British Prime Minister Theresa May has refused to be drawn on the course she will take if MPs vote down her EU withdrawal deal early next month.

Theresa May says she wants MPs to focus on her deal, ignoring other potential options.  She added that  calls for a second referendum or a delaying of the UK's departure from the EU block are attempts to frustrate Brexit.

The agreement remains deeply unpopular with both Leave and Remain supporting MPs who will vote on December 11th.

A question from Conservative MP Tom Tugendhat about what the UK's new relationship with the EU would look like in the future,  offered an unusual moment of levity.
