France charges civil servant with treason for allegedly spying for North Korea

France has charged a high-ranking public servant with treason for allegedly supplying intelligence to North Korea.

Benoit Quennedey, an administrator at the French Senate who chaired the Franco-Korean friendship association, has been bailed under strict conditions to await trial.
