May defends her Brexit deal in grilling from MPs

British Prime Minister Theresa May has refused to be drawn on the course she will take if MPs vote down her EU withdrawal deal early next month.

Theresa May says she wants MPs to focus on her deal, ignoring other potential options.  She added that  calls for a second referendum or a delaying of the UK's departure from the EU block are attempts to frustrate Brexit.

The agreement remains deeply unpopular with both Leave and Remain supporting MPs who will vote on December 11th.

A question from Conservative MP Tom Tugendhat about what the UK's new relationship with the EU would look like in the future,  offered an unusual moment of levity.
