UK health officials warn of ‘no-deal Brexit’ impact

Hospital managers in England have warned that the National Health Service (NHS) is not prepared for a scenario in which Britain leaves the European Union next year without securing a deal the bloc.

The group says hospitals could run out of drugs and disease could spread in the event of a so-called no-deal Brexit.

Death toll from Kerala floods crosses 300, 1 million in relief camps

The state government of Kerala has confirmed that over 300 lives have been lost in the devastating floods that have wreaked havoc in the southern Indian state.

The government says that over one million people are currently taking refugee in relief camps.

The Indian government has declared the floods a 'calamity of severe nature' and has said it will step up the volume of aid and help being extended to Kerala.

Pope Francis condemns child sex abuse and cover-ups in Catholic Church

Pope Francis has condemned the "atrocities" of child sex abuse and cover-ups in an unprecedented letter to all Catholics.

The letter which, calls for an end to the "culture of death" in the Church, comes in the wake of a grand jury report detailing decades of sexual abuse in the US state of Pennsylvania.

Woman Survives Falling Off Cruise Ship

A 46 year old British woman has survived after falling from a cruise ship into the Adriatic Sea for 10 hours.


Coastguards rescued the woman off the coast of Croatia, it is believed CCTV footage taken from the ship of the precise moment she fell helped to locate her.
