STOKES FOUND NOT GUILTY

(New Zealand-born) England cricketer Ben Stokes has been found not guilty of affray.

He had denied the charge over a fight outside a nightclub in the city of Bristol last September.

Bridge collapse in Genoa kills at least 10, death toll may rise

The Italian government says the collapse of a motorway bridge in Genoa is "an immense tragedy".


At least ten people are thought to have died, with some vehicles falling 100 metres to the ground when the bridge collapsed during a violent storm.

Mayor of London says injuries in London incident "not serious"

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, says an apparent attack near the Houses of Parliament in London was "not serious" and that three people injured when a car crashed into pedestrians have been treated and are recovering.


One man is in police custody on suspicion of terrorism offenses after he was detained at the scene.


Mr. Khan says the speed of the response was crucial in bringing the incident under control.

Indian rupee continues to plunge

The Indian rupee has been the hardest hit in Asia because of the economic crisis unfolding in Turkey. The rupee hit an all-time low of 70 per dollar on Tuesday. 

With this, the currency has depreciated around 10% in 2018 so far.

Foreign Correspondent's Club stages HK National Party talk

The Hong Kong government lashed out at the Foreign Correspondents Club after it staged a talk by the convenor of the Hong Kong National Party.

Elon Musk Says Saudis Back Plan to Take Tesla Private

UK opposition leader Corbyn in Palestinian wreath-laying controversy

Asian Markets Tumble as Turkish Lira Continues to Slump

Markets in Asia fell sharply as fears grew over the Turkish lira and the potential spill-over effect to other economies.

That's after the lira plunged sharply, touching a new all-time low on Monday, before the central bank rolled out measures to stabilise the currency in afternoon trade.

UK LAUNCHES PLAN TO END ROUGH SLEEPING

The UK government's launched a plan to end rough sleeping in England by 2027.

It's committing £100m (US $127m) to fund housing, support for mental health and addiction issues, and to stop people becoming homeless in the first place.

It's estimated there were around 4750 people sleeping rough on English streets on any given night in 2017, and the homelessness rate has been rising for the last seven years.

India's space agency plans moon mission for 2019
