US warns India about its defence deals with Russia

The United States has indicated that it may not sell India military equipment if New Delhi were to go ahead and purchase ballistic missiles worth $5.5 billion from Moscow.

India is one the largest defence importers globally and has close ties with both Russia and China on this front.

Moscow denies reports on interception of Israeli fighter jet

The Russian Defense Ministry has denied reports on an alleged interception of an Israeli F-16 fighter jet by a Russian Su-34 aircraft in Lebanon.

Officials said Russia's warplanes do not conduct missions in Lebanese airspace.

Thousands evacuate as Storm Alberto hits U.S.

Thousands of people have evacuated the north-west coast of Florida as the
first subtropical storm of the season has reached the United States.

Experts warn that Alberto- now downgraded to a tropical depression, could dump up to 12 inches of rain on areas stretching from Western Georgia to Mississippi.

Starbucks to close all US stores for racial bias training

Starbucks is preparing to close all of it's US stores on Tuesday for a "racial bias education day".

The coffee chain is hosting a training day for all its staff following outrage over the arrest of two black men in one of its stores in April.

U.S. Team is in North Korea for talks ahead of potential summit

UN warn further 10 million people in Yemen risk starvation

The United Nations warns that a further 10 million people in Yemen
risk starvation if food supplies aren't brought into the country at a
quicker pace.

Last year the Saudi-led coalition put a blockade on Yemeni ports.

That blockade was lifted but the UN warn that ship restrictions are
limiting food entering the country.

Court orders Samsung to pay $539 million to Apple

A Silicon Valley court has ordered Samsung to pay Apple $539 million, as damages for having infringed five patents held by Apple.

Trump says summit with North Korea could be back on


President Trump says the US is back in contact with North Korea and the summit between the two countries could go ahead as planned on June 12th.

Moscow rejects blame for MH17 downing
