Thousands evacuate as Storm Alberto hits U.S.

Thousands of people have evacuated the north-west coast of Florida as the
first subtropical storm of the season has reached the United States.

Experts warn that Alberto- now downgraded to a tropical depression, could dump up to 12 inches of rain on areas stretching from Western Georgia to Mississippi.
