India-US keen to work on alternative to China's Belt and Road Initiative

Days after US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's India visit, the Indian government has now revealed that the US and India discussed a road connectivity project in South Asia as an alternative to China's Belt and Road initiative. 

The Indian government has said it is keen to work with the United States to further common interests. 

This comes after Rex Tillerson warned China for breaking the region's 'rule based order' and spoke of a larger role for India in the Indo-Pacific region.

Ceasefire for Kurdish, Iraqi forces

UN Peacekeepers Killed in Mali
