Uber Says It's Cooperating in Bribery Investigation

Uber says it's cooperating with a US Department of Justice investigation into possible violations of bribery laws. 

This preliminary investigation is just the latest in a series of legal issues for Uber, as a new CEO takes the reigns.

U.S. economy grew at quickest rate in two years

The U.S. economy grew more than many analysts expected in the second
quarter of the year, ticking up to 3%.

An initial gross domestic product estimate released last month put
growth in Q2 up at 2.6% but this latest revision marks the quickest
pace seen in over two years.

Tropical Storm Harvey has made landfall again in the US state of Louisiana after hovering in the Gulf of Mexico.

While the city of Houston in Texas, strained under the arrival of tens of thousands of people fleeing submerged homes, imposed a curfew overnight as it faced an outbreak of looting and armed robberies.
