Trump Outlines Border Wall Ideas

President Donald Trump says he's serious about constructing a wall along the border with Mexico that is both transparent and has solar panels.

But he also says that the steel wall will not cover areas where there are 'natural barriers'.

Democrats demand independent commission, further action

Minority leader Nancy Pelosi says the latest revelations on ties between the Russians and Trump associates means the House of Representatives must vote in favor of an independent commission to investigate meddling by foreign powers in American politics.

NBC News is now reporting there was a fifth person in the June 2016 meeting with the Russian lawyer - a Russian-American lobbyist who was a former  Soviet counter intelligence officer.

It's also been confirmed that Jared Kushner - who was part of this meeting - has updated his clearance forms multiple times to include 100 other persons who might be of interest.

This meeting and these changes are why Nancy Pelosi feels President Trump should immediately cancel his son-in-law Jared Kushner's security clearance.

NBC News report: former Russian spy was at Donald Trump Jr meeting


A former Russian spy was also present at a meeting between Donald Trump Junior and a Russian lawyer during last year's election, according to reports by NBC News.

Donald Trump Junior was promised compromising information about Hillary Clinton during the meeting, but said nothing came of it.

President Donald Trump has defended his son, calling him a "good boy."

Man confesses to killing four in Pennsylvania

A 20-year-old man has confessed to killing four men and burying their bodies at a family farm in Pennsylvania.

The men had been missing for days before sniffer dogs found one of their bodies at in a grave at Cosmo Dinardo's family property.

Funeral for Sunderland Mascot Bradley Lowery takes place

Thousands of people turned out for the funeral of six year old Sunderland Football mascot, Bradley Lowery, who lost his battle with cancer last week.


Balloons and ribbons were placed along the funeral procession route and loudspeakers were put outside the church for the crowds outside.

French court bans Paris Match from republishing Nice attack photos

A French court has banned the magazine Paris Match from republishing CCTV pictures of victims of the truck attack in Nice on Bastille Day last year.
Relatives of victims had accused the magazine of morbidly sensationalizing their deaths.

India's Green Tribunal bans dumping of waste into the Ganges

India's Green Tribunal has banned the dumping of waste near the river Ganges- a river that Hindus in India consider holy. 

 

The order comes three years since Prime Minister Narendra Modi set up a separate government department to monitor the river's clean-up. 


The Narendra Modi government had pledged $3 billion dollars for this project- $200 million of which has already been spent.

 

But environmental activists claim little has been done so far.

Infosys reports better than expected profits for first quarter

Infosys, one of India's biggest IT firms, has reported better-than-expected quarterly profits.

This is despite the concerns surrounding the sector amid steps being taken by US President Donald Trump to reduce the numbers of visas used by such firms to send employees to the US.

Former US officials express concern over US-Africa relations under Trump administration
