Trump announces initiatives for “energy dominance”

Donald Trump has announced a series of initiatives to boost domestic energy production, saying his goal is to make America energy independent.

The president was flanked by Vice-president Mike Pence and Energy Secretary Rick Perry at an event that's part of a week-long series promoting his energy policy.

Trump said a key element of his strategy is to remove regulations which he says have hampered growth in the US energy sector.
