Trump calls Syrian attack an "affront to humanity"

US President Donald Trump has made his first public comment on the chemical attack in Syria that left more than 100 people dead on Tuesday.


He called the attack a "terrible affront to humanity".

Strategist Bannon removed from National Security Council

UN calls on Yemen to safeguard Hodeidah


The UN has called on the warring parties in Yemen to safeguard the strategic port of Hodeidah on the Red Sea, as the Yemeni government and its allies prepare an assault on the area. 


The world body says the port is a lifeline for millions of people who are facing potential famine.

Horrible, unspeakable - Pres. Trump on Syria

U.S. President Donald Trump has briefly spoken out about the chemical weapons attack in Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says more than 72 people were killed in the attack in  Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib province.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has indicated Moscow should be held responsible for failing to maintain the ceasefire in Syria, but the Russians say that it might have been Syrian rebels with chemical weapons.

Welcoming King Abdullah II of Jordan to the Oval Office, U.S. President Donald Trump would only say that the news is horrible.

Guatemalan authorities charged in connection to a fire that killed 41 girls

Guatemala's top prosecutor has charged three former officials of the social welfare department with wrongful death after 41 girls died in a fire inside a government-run shelter.

After chemical attack, UN Security Council considers draft resolution on Syria

Russia is blaming rebel forces in Syria for a suspected chemical attack that killed more than 70 people.

Moscow claims the poisonous gas was leaked after government air strikes hit a rebel warehouse.

Service Held for London Attack Victims

A service has been held in London to remember those who were killed in the terrorist attack on Westminster, which took place on 22nd March.

Violence Breaks Out in Caracas Streets

Long-simmering political tensions broke out into violent exchanges between opposition protesters and national police on the streets of the Venezuelan capital.
