Donald Trump Squares Off With John McCain

US President Donald Trump has taken aim at fellow Republican, John McCain, after the Arizona Senator questioned the success of a military raid in Yemen.

The operations resulted in the death of a Navy SEAL, but Mr. Trump criticised the Senator for, as he put it, 'emboldening the enemy'.

War against Taliban at stalemate says top US commander

America's top military commander in Afghanistan says the war against the Taliban has hit a stalemate.

Trump Vs Judges: Semantic Battle Continues

The White House is denying that the US President's new Supreme Court nominee criticized Donald Trump for attacking the judiciary.

Trump has taken to twitter to criticize a judge for blocking his executive order suspended travel and visas from seven countries.

Democratic Senator Richard  Blumenthal said Judge Neil Gorsuch found Trump's attacks on judges "disheartening" and "demoralizing".

White House "counseled" Trump adviser over promotion of Ivanka fashion products

Trudeau and Trump to meet on Monday

Canada's Prime Minister and the US President will meet in Washington on Monday.

This comes in the wake of Justin Trudeau's strong rebuke of Donald Trump's executive order on immigration, with Trudeau having offered to welcome any refugees turned away by the U.S.

US Stops Screening Refugees on Nauru

Australia says the United States has stopped screening refugees held  on the Pacific Island nation Nauru that the Obama administration promised to take in. 

President Trump called the agreement a "dumb deal" and made enhanced screening a condition for honoring it.

Man convicted of providing support in attempted terror attack

A man from Arizona has has been convicted of providing support to the
so-called Islamic State group.

Abdul Malik Abdul Kareem was sentenced to 30 years for helping two men

Kremlin confirms Russia responsible for the deaths of 3 Turkish soldiers in Syria

The Kremlin has confirmed that Russian war planes were responsible for the accidental killing of  three Turkish soldiers in northern Syria..  

The deaths occurred as the Turkish soldiers were supporting Syrian rebels in an effort to capture the city of al-Bab.    Julia Lyubova reports from Moscow.

Twitter posts quarterly loss of $167 million

Shares of Twitter fell over 10% in early trading on Wall Street

Metropolitan Police chief Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe says it could be an expensive policing operation if large-scale protests take place.

Bin Laden ally killed in US airstrike

The United States says it has killed a close ally of Osama Bin Laden,

Downing Street plays down possibility of Lords abolishing Brexit Bill
