POLICE CHIEF: TRUMP STATE VISIT 'IN JUNE'

US President Donald Trump's state visit to the UK is planned for June, according to Britain's most senior police officer.

Metropolitan Police chief Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe says it could be an expensive policing operation if large-scale protests take place.

President Trump has been invited to make a controversial state visit to the UK this year.

Opposition politicians insist it should not go ahead while he attempts to impose immigration restrictions on a series of mainly Muslim nations.

Downing Street says no date has yet been set for the trip, but Sir Bernard Hogan Howe suggested he'd received guidance.

IN: "First of…
OUT: …of money."
DUR: 28 seconds
