Russia detained 10 suspected ISIS-linked terrorists

Russia's Federal Security Service said it arrested 10 ISIS-linked suspects that were plotting terrorists attacks in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Moscow's involvement in Syria has provoked strong criticism in the West and strong resentment of the Syrian opposition blaming it for supporting Bashar-al-Assad's regime accused of numerous war crimes committed during the five-and-a-half year long civil war.

US Marks Veterans’ Day After Divisive Election

US President Barack Obama has laid a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC, and used his final Veterans' Day speech to urge Americans to set aside political grievances.

Mr. Obama praised veterans for their quiet and selfless service, and said the country needed to recover from a bruising election campaign.

Several thousand demonstrators gathered in the centre of the western city.

Zimbabwe court drops charges against professional hunter behind Cecil the Lion's death

Islamic State hang 40 civilians from electricity poles

The United Nations has announced that the so-called Islamic State has
shot then hung up the bodies of 40 civilians in the Iraqi city of
Mosul.

ENGLAND AND SCOTLAND TO WEAR POPPIES IN DEFIANCE OF FIFA

England and Scotland footballers will wear black armbands with poppies on later, in defiance of possible sanction by governing body FIFA.
