ENGLAND AND SCOTLAND TO WEAR POPPIES IN DEFIANCE OF FIFA

England and Scotland footballers will wear black armbands with poppies on later, in defiance of possible sanction by governing body FIFA.

The two teams meet at Wembley in London in a World Cup Qualifier which falls on Armistice Day which marks the end of World War One.

FIFA's rules say kits can't include symbols or messages which have a political meaning.

The English and Scottish Football Associations face possible fines or even points deductions over the move.

But England manager Gareth Southgate denies it is a message being sent to FIFA about its stance.

IN: "I don't…
OUT: ….the poppy."
