TOP GEAR LOOKS TO NEW SERIES WITHOUT EVANS

It's reported that the rest of the presenting line-up for motoring show Top Gear will stay on the show after Chris Evans quit after one series.

He's leaving the BBC programme amid falling ratings, although bosses insist the series has still been sold to 130 territories around the world.

Filming for the show starts again in September.

Chris Evans only joined Top Gear in June as Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May moved on.

Former Top Gear presenter Steve Berry says there's more to his decision than domestic ratings.

US police apologize after mistaken ISIS arrest

US police have apologized to a citizen of the United Arab Emirates, after mistakenly arresting him under suspicion of links to the Islamic State group.

The UAE's foreign ministry has summoned the US deputy ambassador over the incident, which it calls "abusive treatment."

Emirati national Ahmed Al-Menhali was detained last week at gunpoint after an employee of the hotel he was staying at in Ohio told police she overheard Mr Al-Menhali on the phone, pledging allegiance to ISIS.

After nearly fainting while in handcuffs, police took Al-Menhali to the hospital, later learning the man was visiting the US to undergo medical tests after having a stroke.

During her call to authorities, the hotel employee also noted Al-Menhali was wearing the traditional United Arab Emirates dress of a white robe and headdress - the UAE is now warning its citizens to avoid wearing the attire while in the US for risk of suspicion.

Police in Ohio issued an apology.

NATO Chief Says Not Interested in New Cold War

As NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg prepares for Friday's biannual NATO Summit in Warsaw, he continues to say he's not interested in starting a war with Russia.

Since the annexation of Crimea and the conflict in Ukraine, tensions between NATO and Moscow have been increasing.

At a pre-summit news conference, Secretary General Stoltenberg outlined again NATO's intention to send four battalions to Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

While NATO leaders believe there's a growing threat from Russia, the secretary general says the deployment is not aimed at continuing to deteriorate relations with Moscow.
