Protests in Germany over alleged child rape

The alleged rape of a 13-year-old Russian girl in Berlin has sparked protests in Germany and anger from the Russian government. 

But some think the Moscow may be using the case to stir up trouble.

French taxi strike against Uber goes into second day

French taxi drivers are on strike for a second day - after 24 people
were arrested on Tuesday in sometimes violent clashes with police.
Taxi drivers are furious over Uber and other unregulated taxi apps -
and want them banned.

Apple reports slowing iPhone sales

Apple's latest quarterly earnings show a slowdown in iPhone sales, the
slowest growth since its launch more than eight years ago.

But the company beat earnings expectations.

US health officials take preventive steps to stop Zika virus

The US Center for Disease Control put out health guidelines this week
to monitor new mothers who traveled to areas where the Zika virus is
thriving.

The illness which is contracted through mosquitos can result in

The bill was passed with a overwhelming majority.

UK urges pregnant women to rethink travel to Zika affected countries

Health authorities in the UK are advising pregnant women to reconsider travel to areas where the Zika virus outbreak is occurring.  

The virus, which is spread by mosquitoes, is affecting large parts of South America and has resulted in thousands of babies being born with underdeveloped brains.

UK flooding expected as US weather front hits

The UK is experiencing heavy rain and strong wind after the weather front that brought near record snowfall to parts of the US covered in snow arrived in the country.
