Yemen civilian casualties topping 8,100 amid airstrikes, shelling and clashes, says UN

More than eight thousand civilians in Yemen have been killed or injured in the past nine months, amid Saudi-led coalition airstrikes and shelling by Houthi rebels.

The latest numbers from the United Nations come as the international body struggles to get a peace process under way, and as opposing sides continue to violate a ceasefire.

Our UN Correspondent Liling Tan reports from New York.
