UK URGED TO ACCEPT CHILD REFUGEES

The UK should offer to settle 3000 child refugees who are stranded in Europe, according to an influential group of MPs.

The International Development Committee is backing a call from charities for Britain to take in more unaccompanied minors.

So far Britain has accepted 1000 refugees as part of a 20 000 five year target, amid Europe's migrant crisis.

Kirsty McNeil from Save the Children says there are minors who need urgent assistance.
