Obama & Castro met on America soil for first time

US President Barack Obama has met with his Cuban counterpart Raul
Castro for the first time on American soil.

The recent thawing of relations between the two countries has enabled
this historic moment.

UK PM softens stance on Syria's future with Assad

UK Prime Minister David Cameron has said Syria's President must go, but admits he could be part of a transitional government. 

It's a softening of the UK's stance in relation to President Bashar al-Assad and the role he should play in the country's future. 

He also said Syria needs to be free of both the Islamic State and Assad, and he would work to convince Syrian allies like Russia that is the only way forward. 

Speaking to CBS, Mr Cameron said long-term Assad must go.

Venezuela will let deported Colombians back in

Venezuela's president, Nicolas Maduro, has agreed to let over 1,500 deported Colombians return to Venezuela, and said the government will legalize their status.
