South Carolina massacre suspect makes first court appearance

The man charged in connection with the mass shooting at a South Carolina church has reportedly confessed to murdering 9 people during a bible study class.


Dylan Roof made his first appearance in court, following his capture on Thursday.

US OPM to reveal info on cyber attack

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management is due to notify some 4.2 million federal employees  that their personal records might have been compromised, after a massive data breach that was discovered earlier this month.

So far U.S. government officials believe the people responsible for this information breach have ties to the Chinese government, which has denied any involvement in the cyber attack.

European Council President Donald Tusk says the ball is now in Greece's court

The president of the European Council Donald Tusk has placed the responsibility for coming to a deal is Greece's debt renegotiations with the Greek government.

A summit of leaders from the single currency eurozone has been called for Monday with time running out for the country.

Greece must repay the International Montery Fund 1 point 5 billion euro on June 30th and is out of money.

Athens needs to come to a deal to unlock 7.2 billion euro in bailout money.

European Council president Donald Tusk says he doesn't expect Monday's summit to be the final deal however.

Charleston shooter charged with murder

The 21-year-old man accused of killing nine people during a bible
study meeting in one of the South's most historic black churches has
been charged with nine counts of murder. 

The Charleston Police department announced the news via Twitter, just hours after South Carolina's governor called for Dylan Roof to face the death penalty.

UN Warns of 'Looming Catastrophe' In Yemen, Launches Aid Appeal

The United Nations says that 1.6 billion dollars is now needed to face what it calls a 'looming catastrophe' in Yemen.

It's launched a new funding appeal, saying 80 per cent of the country's population now need some form of aid, after weeks of Saudi airstrikes against Houthi rebels who ousted the previous government.

Dylann Roof charged on nine counts of murder

21-year-old Dylann Roof has been charged by police in the United
States on nine counts of murder and one weapons possession charge.

Roof who was caught after a 14-hour manhunt is alleged to have carried
out the shooting at a black church in Charleston in the hope the act
would start a race war in the United States.

STOWAWAY FALLS TO DEATH, ANOTHER IN HOSPITAL AFTER JO'BURG TO LONDON FLIGHT

A man is in a critical condition in hospital in London, believed to have clung to the undercarriage of a flight from Johannesburg to Heathrow.

Another is believed to have fallen from a plane to his death - after a body was found on a building under the Heathrow flightpath.

Police are investigating whether the two cases are linked after they were alerted to both on Thursday.

Stowaway from South Africa falls to death in London

A man has fallen to his death, landing on a shop in West London, believed to have fallen from a British Airways flight from Johannesburg, South Africa to Heathrow.


A second man was found on the flight and is being treated in hospital and is said to be in a serious condition.

Reports UK missing family now in Syria

Russia and Greece pledge to build a gas pipeline together

Russia and Greece have signed a memorandum on cooperation to build a gas pipeline in Greece. The pipeline is part of the Turkish Stream project, led by Russia. Churches across the US have been holding prayer meetings following the killing of nine people at an African-American church in the state of South Carolina...

Six women and three men, including the pastor, were shot dead at an historic African-American church in Charleston.

The suspect, 21-year-old Dylann Roof, appeared in court on Thursday.
