The 21-year-old man accused of killing nine people during a bible
study meeting in one of the South's most historic black churches has
been charged with nine counts of murder.
The Charleston Police department announced the news via Twitter, just hours after South Carolina's governor called for Dylan Roof to face the death penalty.
