The United Nations says that 1.6 billion dollars is now needed to face what it calls a 'looming catastrophe' in Yemen.
It's launched a new funding appeal, saying 80 per cent of the country's population now need some form of aid, after weeks of Saudi airstrikes against Houthi rebels who ousted the previous government.
