US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have arrived in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv for the first time since US President Donald Trump began his second term, following talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin on Friday.
Both Moscow and Kyiv have agreed to a three-day pause on strikes against each other's capitals while the diplomatic shuttle continues, though previous attempts at a peace plan have foundered over security guarantees for Ukraine and territorial demands from Russia.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has pledged what he called complete resolve in the discussions with the American delegation.
