US President Donald Trump has launched a fresh attack on Canada, rattling off a list of longstanding complaints about trade when asked about the status of stalled negotiations between the two countries.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has told Washington to stop posturing and return to serious talks, with Canadian retaliatory tariffs on around twenty-eight billion dollars' worth of American goods due to take effect next week.
President Trump has also announced a further fifty per cent tariff on Canadian cars and parts from January.
