Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has explicitly rejected the 15-point Gaza peace roadmap drawn up by US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace, saying Israel's military will not withdraw until Hamas is fully disarmed.
The rejection marks a rare public split between the two leaders, with President Trump having hailed the plan last month as a historic agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all armed groups in Gaza.
Hamas has called on mediators and Washington to pressure the Israeli prime minister not to obstruct the process for domestic political reasons, with Israeli elections due in October.
