Iran's economy minister has said Tehran has been preparing "for a long time" for the latest round of American sanctions and is ready to face them — as the Iranian rial hits a record low of more than two million to the US dollar.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Monday unveiled what he called "Operation Economic Outcast," targeting nearly sixty entities, individuals and vessels involved in oil smuggling, nuclear procurement and cyber operations.
