India's economy grew seven-point-eight per cent in the April-to-June quarter, according to official data released on Monday — well above the seven per cent the Reserve Bank of India had projected and the seven-point-one per cent forecast in a Reuters poll of economists.
Capital investment surged nearly twelve per cent, while the services sector expanded by ten per cent — driven by strong gains in financial services, real estate and IT.
But the headline figure came despite significant global headwinds, including supply chain disruptions linked to the conflict in the Middle East.
