Bangladesh's Foreign Ministry says it is outraged that India permitted deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to hold a virtual press conference in New Delhi on Wednesday — the second anniversary of her ouster.
Dhaka says the event on Indian soil is an affront to Bangladesh's sovereignty, and says it had warned New Delhi in advance that allowing the former leader's political activities could damage bilateral relations.
India says the event was organised by a private media body and that the views expressed were not endorsed by the government.
