A senior US official has warned that President Donald Trump will be very disappointed if Israel blocks advancement of the Board of Peace's Hamas disarmament plan — a deal the president hailed as historic on Thursday evening.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has said the Board of Peace's fifteen-point disarmament proposal does not meet Israel's demands for Gaza's complete demilitarisation.
Hamas agreed to the plan in the early hours of Friday, though its negotiators say implementation depends on an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
