The United States and Iran have held their fire for a second consecutive day, as negotiators work to revive an interim ceasefire deal to end the war.
US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz has said US President Donald Trump is giving the talks room, while a senior Iranian source has told Reuters that Tehran will maintain the pause as long as Washington does — though there is, in the source's words, more scepticism than optimism about a breakthrough.
An Omani delegation is now in Tehran to discuss the management of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz — the issue at the heart of the conflict.
