South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has arrived in the Democratic Republic of Congo's capital Kinshasa on Thursday for an African Union solidarity visit, as the country battles an Ebola outbreak that has killed more than four hundred people.
President Ramaphosa, who serves as the AU's champion for pandemic preparedness, is holding talks with DRC President Félix Tshisekedi on stepping up measures to contain the virus, which has now spread to four provinces.
The World Health Organization has warned that around ten countries in the region are at high risk of cross-border transmission.
